World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
Upgrades to items allow players to increase an item's gear score up to 700 and add a final perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you decide to take them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For item upgrader an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade, and aren't worth the effort.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats such as damage to attack, crit chance PvE and PvP damage. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Some weapons also have a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a unit. This bonus may be greater than the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the nature of the weapon as well as its current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue increase until it is required to use an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.
Upgrading weapons will also reroll their base stats. While this is usually an excellent thing however, it could have negative consequences as well. In the case of items that are only used in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them can render them useless unless you happen to have an extremely lucky roll.
Armor items can be upgraded to increase their performance. For instance, if you have a helm or chest, this will increase its base defense while gloves and belts will enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it can sometimes roll back to a lower number.
The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats it will gain after upgrading, as well as the relative values of those stats. This means that a change from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in a weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will hit for 3 times less often as it is an absolute statistic.
A weapon can also be rerolled by pressing the green button that has circling arrows in the menu for items. This will roll an item and change its statistics, but it will not reset the weapon's levels, or bind it to account status.
Armor
Adding a few upgrades to your armor can make an enormous difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets offer massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which makes it easier to navigate through tough terrain. In general, the more defense you have for your character, the more health you'll get from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them each of which requires you to complete a special side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've done the main side quest and have completed the fountain in question you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrade menu.
The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you'll need at anything from three to ten Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For instance the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a decent-sized group of adversaries in most cold environments, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded up to +20 defense, providing the protection needed to survive a full on raid with a few friends.
It isn't possible to upgrade armor the same as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or spell power. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you use for the final boss fight and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
You can also get some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. In general, you should save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be beneficial to have a few upgrades to your helmets and chest armor that permit you to sneak past certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed give the user an effect on their status for a short period of time. There are five different types of potions, each having particular effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be obtained through crafting them on a table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion used and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion to the next level, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you select the potion you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanics of potions. Splash potions, for example are now available with a time of zero, not the 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display for the item. The table of potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be used in cauldrons. Additionally, using a potentio on a full cauldron, it drains the potion and refills the bottle.
Lastly, there are now lingering potions that are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. Similar to lingering potions, the can be enhanced by adding redstone. The table of potions has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, for instance, the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket can be a small, inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It can be a reference to a piece of art or a decoration that serves a purpose but is not particularly important such as a thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is used to show affection or friendship between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons, and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets, unlike other items that can be upgraded, can be exchanged at any time without losing statistics.
item upgrade can be found at the capitals of every zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with tokens, gold or fragments of trinkets that are rare.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new trinket. It can be done by a player for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl as the older one, and come with an additional 1% upgrade bonus.
Once the old Trinkets have become no longer usable they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an extremely popular alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, followed by their secondaries, and finally other items of gear they won't replace soon (for instance rings or cloaks). When deciding on which items to upgrade, players must also be aware of the preferred statistics of their class. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to tank players, then they should upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.
Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, a re-upgrade will destroy the old trinket in the event that it is not saved using the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
