World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
Upgrades to items allow players to boost the gear score of an item up to 700, and then add a final perk. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory, and then taking them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their distinctive stats. (For instance an excellently roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the effort.
Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats such as crit chance, attack damage as well as PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons also come with a flat bonus which increases their damage per second. In addition, many weapons have a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a single unit. In some instances, this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon is able to upgrade on its own.
The cost of upgrading a weapon depends on its rarity as well as its current level. For example, a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a gun will increase until it requires a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
The upgrade of weapons can also change their base stats. This is generally a positive factor, but it could also have negative consequences. Upgrades can make items impossible to use, unless you are extremely lucky.
Armor items can be upgraded to boost their stats. This can boost the base defense of a helm or chest as well as belts and gloves. These will boost their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes reroll down to a lower value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain after upgrading along with the relative values of those stats. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining 3% of attack damage. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will strike 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button in the item menu with the arrows that are circling. The item will be rerolled and change its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level nor connect to the status of your account.
Armor
Making a few improvements to your armor could make a a huge difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets can provide MASSIVE increases in resistance to curses, poison fire, magic, and other. This can make it easier to traverse difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the greater health you'll get from each point. Therefore, it is recommended to upgrade your armor.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four fountains in all and each one requires you to complete a unique side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest and the associated fountains, you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each will vary. In general, you're looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a good-sized group of enemies in the majority of cold environments, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to withstand a full on raid with a few friends.
Be aware that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll need to concentrate on enhancing it to increase physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades to use for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you wear for the final boss battle as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.
You can also gain advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game. For example, the Longsword or Battleaxe. However, it's beneficial to have some upgrades for the armor on your chest and helmets to let you get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are bottled substances that, when consumed give the user the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, enhancing the effectiveness of their effects. In addition the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to the potions.
Potion upgrades require a certain amount XP. This can be obtained by making them on a table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the upgrade price is dependent on the type of potion you want to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and rarity.
To upgrade a potions, right-click it in your inventory. Then, select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens an GUI where you can select the potions you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will give you when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP total.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not be degraded until you re-use it, or break the bottle it is stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
There were a few changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance have now a duration of that is 0:08 instead of 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the item. item upgrading is now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players in Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be used in cauldrons. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the potion and refills the bottle.
There are also lingering potions that are brewed using dragon breath and splash potions. Similar to lingering potions, the can be enhanced by adding redstone to it. The potion table has been rearranged to appear more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, like the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or decoration that serves a function but is not particularly important, such as a trinket. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons, armor, and potions. These can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing statistics.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a brand new trinket. It is possible to upgrade the player for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as older one, and have an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Once the old Trinkets are not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase their power and value with time. They can also be traded between players, making them an extremely popular alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This means that the best-in slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they will not replace anytime soon (such as rings or cloaks). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers it is recommended that they upgrade their helm, chest, shoulders, and belt.
Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level once they no longer have value, and the new trinket will receive an additional upgrade bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade will cause the trinket to be destroyed, unless it is salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, but is still cheaper than purchasing the new one.
