Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to armors, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons. They offer an added benefit or impact while the equipment in use. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted, gotten as an incentive, or even created with crafting materials. In addition to offering attribute bonuses upgrades can also be cosmetically beneficial.
Infusions, inscriptions, as well as enhancements are types of upgrade components. They aren't generally accessible to the general public and are only available on equipment that is ascended or certain weapons that aren't ascended from the Factions Campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, and enrichments can be retrieved from equipment using an Infusion Extraction Device. They can also be saved using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool.
Phoenix Boxes unlike other upgrade products, can be traded and re-used while still attached to an item they are upgrading. These upgrades are the most effective way to improve quality of armor and weapon without spending Dilithium in the sense that they increase the item's chance of receiving a quality upgrade by two times.
An upgrade component placed in an item can be replaced with another however, it will destroy the previous one (except for upgrades of legendaries and equipment that has been ascended). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or greater. If you add an upgrade to the weapon already equipped with a suffix or a prefix upgrade, the item will be referred to as it appears on the game screen (for instance, adding an Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor creates Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player is limited to three upgrade items at a time.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be a valuable accessory to any item as they can provide numerous unique benefits and boosts. Certain glyphs can increase the number of affixes that can be placed on an item, increasing its overall power. These glyphs are available through the dungeons and some even drop in certain World Tier 3 areas. However, it's important to remember that glyphs cannot be used on a character that hasn't created an dungeon with a root of the same depth.
To use a Glyph you first have to create it with components and then connect them via anchors. The component will then automatically align itself to other components or paths within the same layer. If you do not want to create the glyph with components, you can employ the combination of paths and anchors. Then, drag an element in close proximity to a highlighted component to snap it into place.
Certain glyphs have requirements to fulfill, for example having 25 Dexterity or more in a specific region on the Paragon Board. Some glyphs require a specific number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which could also be difficult to achieve. Certain glyphs have a radius that grows with each level.
Glyphs are used for a wide variety of items, and are added to all weapons except for weapons of a particular class. Certain glyphs can be used with additional requirements, for example the requirement for a certain amount of Dexterity damage or Attack damage on a specific part of the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph increases the chance of preventing enemy attacks by five percent. It also has an opportunity of 15% to render the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
Some glyphs can also be applied to limited tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs are counted towards the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most commonly used glyphs are the attack glyphs which increase the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat amount. These glyphs are particularly useful for classes that use weapons with a range, such as Warriors or Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph, which makes enemies who hit the Hero vulnerable to being damaged.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens can be used for rerolling the result of an Action. When the reroll happens, they are thrown away. Reroll tokens can be gained in a variety of ways, such as through raids, dungeons, and skirmishes. You can also buy them in the shops, or from other players. They are especially beneficial in dungeons or trials, as they allow players to reroll rewards at the bottom of the chest.
Recycle points are available for items at level 1. When recycle an item, it will add a specific amount of points to the gauge for upgrading. This number will increase depending on the item's value and rarity. In addition the upgraded item will not keep its level when it is rerolled and the cost for recycling an upgraded item goes up depending on its level.
The player can also use reroll tokens to make an item rerollable. However it will not bring back the item's original stats, or level. This is useful for players who want to reroll an item or piece of equipment that they don't love but want to keep in their collection.
There are three types of upgrade tokens that are available in the game: reroll, random and upgrade. Each type comes with a variety of subtypes. Reroll tokens, for instance, come in three levels that are rare, legendary and enhanced. Each level requires an item from the respective level to make an item of that quality.
To make use of reroll tokens, click on the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select a type of token. The available tokens include Item, Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The use of an Item token will produce an entirely new Item of any type. Utilizing an item token or a Weapon or Misc token will result in a new weapon from the same faction.
There is also a chance that the item will be upgraded to a different item that has a higher level and the same extra stats. This will occur when the item is placed in the Pool that cannot be dropped or was transferred to it as part of the Franchise Card.
